Less skilled writers may achieve clarity, but their writing becomes dry and dull. The loud first bounce occurring closer to the quiet 3rd bounce from the preceding hand give the illusion that the bounces have a more even volume.
The problem is not new. Statements consisting only of original research should be removed. These additional rolls are possible and are taught in modern hybrid drumming and in older pre-NARD rudimental systems, as well as those from other countries, notably the Basel and Scotch cultures.
This may seem like a godsend to many, but for me it just muddies the waters. The closed concert roll orchestral roll, buzz roll, or press roll is performed by creating 3 equal sounding bounces on each hand alternating right to left, repeatedly and quickly.
